Cross compilation depends on the build system (configure.ac and Makefile.am). In particular, during cross compilation, compilation and linking will work but no programs can be run (of course). I can provide complete patches to fix the cross compilation problem. They involve changes to configure.ac, src/libdar/Makefile.am, and possibly some other files.
