backup decision (during incremental backup of course) is base on mtime
(last modification time), file ownership (unless -O option is given to
dar), file size, but not on atime or ctime date.

you can use the -d option with your reference backup to see what is the
reson that lead dar to save again theses files, with for example:

~   dar -d /path/to/previous/backup -R / -g file/that/has/not/changed

you can also remove the -g option to have a complete comparison.
