Hello everyone, Having played around a whole bunch trying to make dar do what I wanted it to, I have started building some scripts to do it for me, eventually to be put into cron and do tiered differential backup using dar, with parity archives and gnupg encryption. It's just my mediocre bash skills, not actually scripts but mostly scratch notes so far, and your mileage will be very low! That said, check it out: http://github.com/UncleCJ/darbackup/tree/master Get your copy like this: git clone git://github.com/UncleCJ/darbackup.git I know I haven't properly examined the existing scripts others have made available, but essentially I definitely want configurable scripts for it, a GUI I'd have to run every day doesn't cut it. Any comments to this, how do you do to run dar completely automated with at least some of the above mentioned features? Further more, I would love to see a git-like storage by hash-value in dar as well, it's not very good, efficient or safe at all to be this dependent on that the filenames work. But that would probably be a huge paradigm shift, or?
