this might be possible as I could build a dar64 package for windows
(RC3) without problem... will double check tomorrow what message I get
about iconv library.. just wonder whether iconv is still mandatory as
it is more and more included in the standard C library... for FreeBSD
I guess it was not and iconv was necessary but for Cygwin (?)

I will check also that my cygwin install is up to date, I guess so but
will double check that
