Yep, It would help to know which dar version is used, and if possible
whether compilation optimization (-O, -O2, etc.) have been use, but OK,
just dar version would be nice.

the trace is very useful here, I see that the problem concerns the
recording of a hard link. To go further I need the version of dar used.
