this type of error is passed by dar from the operating system and means
the filesystem is corrupted or worse a storage problem (hard disk/SSD/...).

when doing a differential backup, dar looks at modification dates of
each file and may skips files that have not changed. If the error
reported by the system during a full backup takes places in such skipped
files during a differential backup, dar has get not error from the
system and thus reports nothing.
