Denis,

This is quite an impressive research article. In practical terms it is
very useful to anyone who has to make a decision (or advise on)
selecting a tool (or even more - philosophy) for data backup. Since I
was sold on dar long ago I did not need that much support to get
convinced in my choice - I was skimming over the article nodding all the
way, and ultimately jumped straight to conclusion.

I think it is very hard to apply anything close to quantitative
comparison to tools (techniques) having lots of unmatched
functionalities. So comparing matching functionalities might not reveal
all important details. Reading the documentation and (more importantly)
realizing the goals of backup and applying the tools to satisfy the
goals is still an important part in decision making. But even in this
process such research can save time looking for answer for specific
questions that might arise along the way.

Happy new year to you, best wishes of all the best!

And thanks for all your effort creating this wonderful tool!

Vladimir
