Re: Restore in-place

I see the purpose of this option, Tobias, but I also see problems
coming with it:
1) What to do if the directory does not exist any more? Create it,
ignore the path or fail?
2) The path to the directory to be backed up is somewhat outside the
scope of dar as the backup would become system dependent.

What's your opinion to those issues?

I am also currently writing a GUI for dar so I had the same problem. I
have solved it by saving the path separately. It is of course an extra
file but it is for extra information. Is this an option for you?
