such 50GB file is not recorded as part of the backup, no slice is 
invalid but you get wasted data. This can be prune either by a merging 
operation as explained in my previous email.

If you delete the last slice(s) of a backup, you will lose the catalogue 
at end of the backup and content of those deleted slices. But you will 
be able to repair (-y option) to recreate this catalogue from what 
remains on the first slices (repairing does not touch the original 
backup but creates a new one beside the original and corrupted one). 
Without repairing, you are stuck only using the --sequential-read 
mode,which is slower than normal reading mode (direct access mode)
