thank you very much for details about your activities and John for 
recommendations for using dar on tapes.




I will just notice that we already have discussed the LTO tape problems with
Denis about a year ago in this list. And he made some changes in code that 
resulted from some of my discoveries (e.g. the creation of the catalog was 
extremely memory hungry - I could not fit it in my RAM , so Denis has found 
a way how to reorganize the storage of volatile information - so I could 
create the catalog (using -A) of my 10+ milions of small files in 10 TB 
backup. )




I suggest (with the Denis permission) to create a new subject called "Dar on
LTO" that we could use to share various experiments and recommendations ....
