hdup -s home/useraccount restore hostname date /home/tmp @[email protected] Is this enabled for network restore? I attempted to use it the other day and it restored the whole archive (from the root tree onwards) to the remote machine. Luckily I had plenty of room. also, in the documentation it's clear that backups occur on one host and are "pushed" to a backup server. My friend and I attempted the restore on the host needing the data from the backup server (i.e. a pull). This did not work. It kept complaining the archives did not exist. Later we hopped on the backup server and ran the command there to find it worked. Are we doing something wrong or is it always considered a push operation? If the restore needs to happen from the backup server, can this be placed in the documentation? -------------------------------------------------- http://www.hostasite.com - Web hosting made simple
