uhmmm, yeah, there is: MAXPATHLEN. Try enlarging that.

I like this, because than I can rip out some stuff (I'm getting the
feeling hdup wants to do to much). With something like this there is
no need for running find-command from within hdup. Have to see how
I do that though. 

Fixing gpg and some minor stuff -> release 1.6.33
branching and creating hdup 1.7 and so some rewriting
