Strange... well after looking at remote restore for the entire afternoon I can say: remote restore definitely does NOT work as intended. I'm thinking about added some documentation about this fact as I'm still completely in the dark on why it breaks(*).. If nobody has bright ideas on how to debug/solve this I will release 1.6.34 in a few days with some minor bugfixes and mark remote restoring with gpg as NOT WORKING :( grtz Miek (*) for those interested: hdup sends a little header first to "announce" what it is sending to the other/remote hdup. With mcrypt this works like a charm, with gpg this header gets corrupted.... :(
