Error: cannot stat VFAT directory

When I run an hdup (v2.0.7 on Debian) backup on a set of directories from 2
filesystems (ReiserFS and VFAT), I get this message on only one of the VFAT
directories:

/usr/sbin/hdup: WARNING: Cannot stat: /windowsd/save/Personal\ Documents/!

I can indeed stat that directory, it returns nothing significantly different
from the other 2 directories on the same filesystem. No program is using
that directory that I know of.

The full dir line for that HOST:
dir = /home/aji/, /tmp/svndumps/, /windowsd/Data/, /windowsd/save/Personal\
Documents/, /windowsd/dl/

All the other directories, regardless of filesystem, get backed up properly
(and "one filesystem" is no).

Before I enter a bug on it, is there something obvious I am overlooking?

Thanks,

Andrew Ittner
