As I'm a Debian lover myself (allthough I'm running Ubuntu right now)
I could generate a tar .deb with the patch in it, and place that
online?

I only have access to debian machines so doing and .rpm is out of the
question. I am willing to host a .rpm tar file (with the patch
applied) of course.
