use the pen drive for incrementals.  That would work well for a bigger 
file system that gets relatively sparse changes.

If you wanted to use hdup's restore, though (as opposed to just manually 
untarring the archives), you'd have to  put a symlink to the monthly 
dump file so that hdup will find the dump file where it expects it to be.
