Warning: modification time of b'/media/.../rdiff-backup.tmp.272244' isbefore 1970

After my last backup onto an external USB drive, I noticed a lot of such
warnings. The file system is ext4. I saw a very old issue on github
reporting similar warnings, which has never been solved:

Is this something to worry about?
