spurious error (multiple current increment files)

Yesterday evening, the error also occurred on my main laptop, when
backing up the .purple directory, using the for loop.

Today, rdiff-backup runs flawlessly - on both of the laptops.

Maybe the error was caused by some file caching and the error could have
been resolved by rebooting the computers between backup sessions. But I
remain puzzled...
