Re: Co-maintaining Request For rdiff-backup-fs

Thank you for reaching out, and you are certainly welcome to take over 
work on the project. rdiff-backup-fs was originally salvaged by Eric as 
part of an effort to centralize everything related to rdiff-backup, but 
it hasn’t received much attention since then.

Before moving forward, I would appreciate a bit more background so we 
can better understand your plans.

  * What level of involvement are you expecting to have in the project?
  * Will you be focusing only on maintaining the Debian packaging, or do
    you intend to work on the codebase upstream as well?
  * Do you also plan to contribute to rdiff-backup itself? Any help
    there would be greatly appreciated.

For context, I’m also developing Rdiffweb and Minarca Data Backup, both 
of which rely heavily on rdiff-backup. However, I haven’t had as much 
time recently to contribute to the core project as I would like, which 
is why additional maintainers would be very welcome.

Looking forward to hearing more about your intentions and how you 
envision your role.

Could you also share with us some other work you have done ?
