Hi Mike,

apart from the permission problems it looks like your hard drive is
going bad. These error msgs seem not to be especially related to sarab
or dar but to OS/hardware.

Are you able to read those files/directories correctly under Linux
without intervention of dar? E.g. try to copy some of them to a temporay
location and do a binary diff (diff -b).

You can also check the hardware status of your harddrive with "smartctl
-a /dev/hd[a][b][c][etc...]" .
