Ok, I've changed sarab.conf so that: DAR_COMMAND="$DAR_BINARY -B $SARAB_ETC/$SARAB_DCF -c $DAR_CREATE --noconf" and reverted to the standard Debian dar: DAR_BINARY="/usr/bin/dar" I'll let the cronjob run tonight and see if it works.
