Thanks Bruce. Might I suggest that the RPM includes these headers:

Provides: vixie-cron

so that it can be used as a replacement without various packages 
complaining that they need vixie-cron. You have a conflicts header, so 
it's not possible to leave vixie-cron installed but unused.

You might also consider:

Obsoletes: vixie-cron

Or equivalents, such as Gerrit Pape's runit.
