Any of the gcc 3 series should work according to the GCC web pages.

Hrm, yeah.  I decided to include an "install" target in the Makefile,
but the build system includes it in the list of files that might need
deleting.  With bglibs there is an "install" directory containing the
installer libraries.  I will look at renaming things to make it work.
