daemontools respin?

Hi.

After hearing talk about some new ideas being thrown around for new init
programs and other supervisory agents, I have been thinking about making
some enhancements to daemontools.

Well, actually, I've been more than just thinking about it.  I've been
coding them.  So far the enhancements have been fairly simple, and about
half are based on (rewritten) patches from other sources.  However, I'm
moving on to some more invasive modifications, primarily to supervise
and hopefully svscan, including:

- Support for explicit one-shot services, having "start" and "stop"
  scripts but no "run".

- Support for delayed startup and dependencies in svscan.

- Support for storing the "supervise" files in an alternate location so
  as to allow services on read-only filesystems.

- Automatic setuid support in supervise.

I am interested to know if anybody else is interested in such an effort,
if there are other features people have wished for, and what to call it.
I can push out a tarball too if anybody is interested in seeing what I
have so far.
