cfenvd running every 8 minutes /conflicts in SMP systems?

So I'm watching cfenvd --debug to try and figure out why cfagent is 
crashing and cfenvd is exiting.  I'm beginning to believe they are related.

Mar 27 00:00:00 gw11 newsyslog[11449]: logfile turned over
Mar 27 00:00:40 gw11 kernel: pid 11548 (cfagent), uid 0: exited on 
signal 11 (core dumped)
Mar 27 01:00:40 gw11 kernel: pid 11851 (cfagent), uid 0: exited on 
signal 11 (core dumped)

And output:
:: Executing shell command: /usr/local/sbin/cfenvd
:: (Done with /usr/local/sbin/cfenvd)

and
:: Executing shell command: /usr/local/sbin/cfenvd
:: (Done with /usr/local/sbin/cfenvd)

So after watching cfenvd --debug for a while, it appears to wake up 
every 8 minutes or so and do a bunch of checks and go back to sleep. 
Are these checks possible to conflict with cfagent if running at the 
same time?
