Yeah, should say that as of kernel 2.6.36, lirc_imon was replaced by the
imon driver for all relevant hardware. (There are a few very old imon
devices still driven by lirc_imon, but none of them are supported by
lcdproc, to the best of my knowledge).

Never heard anything specific about charsets on this hardware period...
