Hi,

yes, I know about git - and Subversion and Bazaar. (I'm not familiar
with Mercurial.)

1. No. I do not plan to switch the repository to some other system in
near time. And if, my pereference will be Bazaar.

2. No. I have seen one or two people sending in patches based on their
own repo, but I don't know if any of these is kept 'up-to-date'.
