I have lcdproc (with imon_lcd) running more or less correctly, with this 
one limitation - lcdproc client will only work if it is run as root.

LCDd and lcdproc compiled and installed to default locations.  Have set 
up an init.d script for the server.

I suspect some permission issue, and have tried, without success:

   LCDd -u <user>
   chmod 666 /dev/lcd0

Running Opensuse 11.3 32-bit.

Any suggestions?
