Hi,

looking at the irtrans driver nothing indicates that changing the
brightness is supported.

The driver has not been changed since committed 2008 and important
portions still look the same as the lcdproc driver available for
download on http://www.irtrans.de/en/download/linux.php.

However, recent versions of irserver's network code make me think it
_does_ support changing the brightness. So if someone is interested in
implementing this, please go on!
