Domain renewals status

All,

I've heard back from the web hosting company that owns the domains,
and they're unable to generate the EPP keys for transferring the
domains right now because the domains are expired. However, they
*will* be able to generate them if I renew the domains for the year
through them ($10 each), which I'm fine with doing. I've responded to
them to ask how to remit payment. Once the domains are renewed and I
have the EPP keys for them, we can sort out which registrar to
transfer them to so we can manage the domains ourselves. Does anybody
have a preference or recommendation for a registrar? I'm fine with
something like Gandi or Namecheap, but other ideas are welcome.

It looks like we'll be spending about $60 total and renewing for two
years when all is done, but we'll have the domains in our control
(finally) and they'll be registered for another two years as well.
I'll contact Brent from CrystalFontz once I have a final total so we
can get the details sorted for his generous offer to help (and to put
his name up in lights for doing so :)).
