nothing on display

Hi,

I'm trying to display text on my matrix orbital LK204-7T-1U-USB-WB
(which is connected via usb) which is connected to a raspberry
pi (powered by an externaly powered usb hub).

all return "success" but nothing is shown.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong here?

Note that the other texts (the "Hello" of the config. file and the
number of connected users) ARE shown.
