Its manufactured by Futaba, model number: FV825GIN. The only manufacturer information I can find on it is contained in a Japanese PDF linked here. https://archive.org/download/Tjoimi0000000ule/tjoimi0000000ule.pdf It seems that it presents itself as a HID device to the system under the name "Tatung Co." with USB ID 1460:0215. Searching for this gives me very little information. This module has a built in set of 4 buttons below it (for various media center functions). More importantly lsusb -v -d 1460:0215 shows that in the iManufacturer line " Starting Up " which is what is displayed on the front screen (I suspect stored in the onboard memory). But the iProduct line shows " UpStarting ". I have tried getting the mdm166a drivers working, but I suspect they won't without modification for this display. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions as to what to try? I can post whatever output you need.
