OpenBSD reliable kernel log?

I remember there was an unofficial patch that added reliable kernel 
log functionality to BSD systems, including OpenBSD serveral years
ago (actually there were more security enhancements but it is the 
one i am interested in). I cannot find it
and cannot even remember who was the author, can anyone help me?
