Hi Jim,

I'm not real sure what you're asking here - are you looking for a discussion of the pros and cons of logging database activity?  Best practices for DB logging?  Do you have an extra negative in your sentence about the hot topic?

We here at Novell have solutions for logging database activity, but a lot of what I would consider to be best practices would depend a lot on the environment.  If my DB holds, say, my Aunt Millie's recipes, my logging needs will be very different than say my health provider's medical records DB (although you'd be surprised...)
