Did you try the "multichart.js" scripted-dashboard URL?  I ask because
with that flavour, there is no need to save the JSON file; the URL
alone is enough to recreate the chart.

Yes, that should work for hand-made dashboards.

Use wildcards in the first slot of the graphite metric names instead
of that hard-coded name.   *pmlogger*pwdb1*prd*mel*   would probably do.
(The scripted-dashboard URLs can also accept such wildcards.)
