Hah, actually, I just re-read this and had to smile - the scenario above Just
Works, out of the box, with parfait-agent today.  Have a read of the man page
and see why.  (you will get more accurate readings at that more frequent rate
described above - with no changes to anything!).  As I said, its a completely
hypothetical problem.
