Need a generic "ls" QA filter?

Hi Ken,

Seeing a repeating pattern here of some tests with 'ls' output not
matching expected output.  Some of this I think is captured in the
_filter_ls function of 738 - shall we make this generic and extend
with some of the other (esp. permissions) inconsistencies?

See attached .bads for all the ones I'm seeing that seem to be all
related to these ls output quirks.
