Sure! Do I also need to join the [email protected] group? (as the
GSoC PCP organization page says students should send proposals to that
list)

I study at PES University (formerly PESIT) located in Bangalore, India
(UTC +5:30).

I do programming on both Arch Linux and macOS on a regular basis, so those are
my prefered environments. I can get access to BSDs or Windows if
required for the
project.

I'm very comfortable with C, and casually familiar with Python, Julia,
Lua and Go. I did a bit of Android programming for a university
project in 2015.
