C (my son) has some wicked tantrums.
" Willingess to take the hit of dealing with small children's responses when you're already tired (or just not wanting to do it) is tough.
Apparently, however, when you're within 8 miles of port, the NCL cell network shuts down and you can access regular Mexican roaming networks.
How about you, dear reader, what's your take on this situation?
WITH A GIFT CARD YOU CAN GET THEM CLOSER TO THE THINGS THEY REALY WANT. Posted by: Amy at January 4, 2007 3:37 PM And. because I can't stand to waste money. :-) DaveC, you're right.
Posted by: George Leach at December 19, 2006 1:09 PM HI, HAVE YOU CONSIDER THAT MAYBE THE GIFTER WANTS TO GIVE SOMETHING REALY NICE BUT IT'S JUST OUT OF THEIR PRICERANGE? I hate to say it but. i didn't succeed the 1st time i tried to breast feed, but the 2nd go round, i was awfully determined and armed with way more education and determination.
Don't they know that they are teaching their children that its OK to lie to those they love, through modelling the behavior of lying?
It's often times 1, 2 AM. Do you ever lie to your kids? It would make sense to me. especially where it's such a big part of this style of parenting.
at December 18, 2006 9:25 PM I always thought that gift cards were like cash, but more limited in their use.
I do prefer to get individual gifts. since i feel men can be attachment parents as much as women, i guess i don't think breastfeeding is a "must" for attachment parenting. It wasn't from lack of us trying to feed her. So we have survived the tornado of K- today, and I have thrown out the chocolate chips she apparently snagged a handful from. and when he doesn't, I'd do it and charge him a nice toy for the effort. And, um, though I'm from a state that can also get a bit of snow from time to time, thanks for explaining that those humps were cars! Posted by: elisa at January 7, 2007 7:23 PM One other point. But I do understand the knowing of something that a persone might like, but not being sure. The fact that you can buy them for all the kids in your extended family in a couple minutes is just icing on the cake.
A gift card says, "I feel I should give you something. Are they "attachment parenting"?
I think kids pick up on when we're untruthful, they can just smell it or something! As she pointed out, some women, for whatever reasons, go weeks without bf and then are able to start it up with some effort. I hope that you will see that a more consistent application of the rules, regardless of what she had eaten or not eaten that day, would've been to her benefit (and yours) in the long run. They're still young enough (2 and 4) so that I can distract the younger one and "reason" with the older one. If you throw this again, I'll take it away.
They're not, however, automatically thoughtless. We all find these "impossible situations" in our parenting, no one's fault, oh well.
baby-wearing, co-sleeping - however, I was unable to breastfeed him.
