I also *think* there is an ITM Super function that does approximately that same thing. We found that not only do certain agents stop sending data due to issues, but certain collection data files can get corrupted, so you need to make sure all the collections are working for an agent. Subject: Re: [TME10] When WPA doesn't sends data to warehous for a perticuler server If there are errors with the export, or connecting and inserting into the DB, then the answer is yes. If there were no errors and the agent simply didn't export the data for some reason, then no. I wrote an impact policy to check the cpu tables for my OS agents since I am globally collecting those attribute groups. If an online OS agent hasn't inserted a row in the last X minutes, then I send alerts to omnibus. I'm sure others have engineered similar solutions. We find that most of the time when the agent hasn't collected, it is due to a performance problem on the server. A few times the server in question was completely hung due to an application issue and this is all that caught it...sadly enough. -JKS On Dec 10, 2012, at 2:21, kalpesh parmar <[email protected]> wrote: > Folks, > > Is there a way to get an alert when WPA doesn't sends data to warehous for a perticuler server? > > we have around more than 500 servers and sometime it has been observed that for few agent there is no data in Warehouse. we come to know only when report is extracted from TCR But by the time it is very late and we loose data for the server. > > so looking for the way to get alerted when data for few agents data are missing in warehous. > > How others are dealing with this? > > Thanks and regards > Kalpesh Parmar > _______________________________________________ > TME10 mailing list > [email protected] > Unsubscribe:[email protected] _______________________________________________ TME10 mailing list [email protected] Unsubscribe:[email protected] This communication is for informational purposes only.
