Hi guys. Found a picture in the docs that “sort of” explains that this configuration is not supported.
Like you said the docs could be more specific about this especially in the support matrix.

The link describes ODBC there’s only JDBC available on Linux.

I will have to set up an Oracle instance for our TDWH….

Gus is referring to the TEPS' connection to the TDW in this case, John. So Gus, yes, a SQL Server TDW from a Linux TEPS hasn't ever worked or been supported to my knowledge--the docs should be more explicit on that point. You can give the following a try and see if fate is on your side:

http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/tivihelp/v15r1/index.jsp?topic=/com.ibm.itm.doc_6.2.3fp1/adminuse/query_datasource_tep.htm

I've used it twice before to create data sources to DB2 databases from an AIX and Windows TEPS, so I'm not sure whether it will work from Linux TEPS --> SQL Server database.

Hi folks. Is anyone using TEPS on Linux with MS SQL DWH? I’m on 6.2.3 FP2. Will this be supported in 6.3.0?
S&P and WHP is working fine sending data to Warehouse but the TEPS can not connect and diplay history data duhhhh…

Getting this when configuring TEPS, seems like SQL Server is not an option?
Are you using DB2, Oracle or None for Warehouse? [1=DB2, 2=Oracle, 3=None] (Default is: 3)

/Gus
