IMHO your first place to start is with a viewdepot output. Study over it and identify the packages to keep: - Base Version Agents (0XYY0000) of agents you use/deploy via addsystem or createnode - Based on the fixpack/interim fix readmes for these agent updates, you may only need to have the latest fix to allow to (on a new agent deploy) you to addsystem then updateagent (all of these are tacmd options). That pretty true these days with the exceptions of LA fixes, which are more and more rare. Once you know that list, then start identifying the depot contents that are never going to be checked/deployed again. The depot structure is (I seem to remember): (unix/linux) /depot/PACKAGES/<interp>/<Agent>/<Version> with some commonality at the interp level between the unix/linux flavors and the depot's unix directory tree mostly around the co-reqs and AgentBuilder Agents. Looking at the viewdepot output I’ve noticed that I could be more custodial in this matter. I could just line up the 6.21 packages and start removing packages but wanted to avoid possibly breaking any prereqs. There might be a better way than just doing this. We have a centralized nfs mounted depot running 6.23.03 on AIX and it would be great to get some helpful suggestions from the list regarding it.
