Hi List, I'm back with the same question which I asked few months back. I want to take availability of databases (DB2) and WAS server. Through the ITM agent I'm able to see database Active or not and Application as running. How can I generate an availability report with this data to present to management? Your help is appreciated. As one example, simply monitoring connectivity to a web app might not actually reveal the actual availability of the app. Rather it might only show there was some network problem. Or worse, perhaps a temporary DB responsiveness issue--like, I don't know, the DBA updated the catalog statistics to adjust for drastically altered cardinality but the SQL that the developer so lovingly hard-coded into their app now runs as fast as the last scene in Inception, all because they forgot the explicit rebind. So if you can be just a little more specific with the type of app monitoring you desire (pure performance/transaction type, availability, specific errors, etc...) someone here can throw a few suggestions out there that will better suits your needs. It will cause the TDW to grow much larger (3X) as it now will have three categories of data: ONSHIFT, OFFSHIFT, ALLSHIFTS. However, you could then just adjust your TCR report definition to also report according to those defined shifts that would already be in the Hourly/Daily tables. > >I hope that is clear, but if not, lemme know. > >Toben > > >On Wed, Nov 28, 2012 at 12:43 PM, saby <sabyantony2001-/[email protected]> wrote: > >Thanks Toben . :) >> >>I'm able to generate default TCR availability periods. But I'm looking for a report on availability during business hours, say 9am - 6pm. When I select date range I'm not getting any data from default reports. If you can, flesh out the generality into something with more specific relief so that someone can comment on it. To ask whether TCR's single/multiple resource uptime report is based on agent availability is akin to asking whether the Bellagio's profit/loss report is based on player betting patterns. You know the answer is "yes," but more is needed from the inquisitor to know how to respond in a way that matters. >> >>Toben >> >> >>On Mon, Nov 26, 2012 at 11:20 AM, saby <sabyantony2001-/[email protected]> wrote: >> >>Hi List, >>> >>>How is the system uptime is calculated in TCR report?
