I am posting this with some trepidation.... first time and everything. I was at Pulse 2013 and attended several Analytics sessions - quite eye opening. On the way back home I decided an experiment would be useful to identify cases where a TEMS is under stress - on the way to a failure or high CPU or something bad. 150 LOC of well commented Perl and a very simple timer situation later, my tests seemed to prove out the idea. Of course tests are one thing and real life is another - so the next stage is to get some real world examples. At the moment the only output is a stress.log file and one of the values is the stress indicator. Anyway, let me know what you think? ================================= I guess the initial message was a little too cryptic. I have a developer blog - see my signature line for the link - and this is the first substantial entry. If you want a direct link here it is https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/mydeveloperworks/blogs/jalvord/entry/itm_tems_stress_tester_experiment9?lang=en There is an link included and you can do a right-click save as... and save a zip file with the example program and situation. Also... and this feels a little weird... My blog entry has 500+ views in less than a week but zero comments. I feel a little bit like Captain Hook [Peter Pan] after Wendy walks the plank and there is no splash. Of course if you have nothing to add, that is fine. I am really hopeful of a collaborative effort where we can evolve something of true value.
