CTIRA - Candle Technology Intelligent Remote Agent

Goes back to when the product was being developed in late 1990s at !Candle
Corporation. Candle was acquired by IBM in 2004.

You also see in the agent operations log

CMS - Candle Monitoring System, where current terminology is TEMS - Tivoli
Enterprise Monitoring System

and in historical configuration - CCC Logs , Candle Command Center which
had a brief run as brand name before resuming Omegamon

And probably a few more corners which I have forgotten.

These sort of names remain the same because we take pride in
compatibility. I know of customers running year 2000 level agents that
Candle stopped selling and IBM never adopted, documented or built. And
they keep on ticking on.

OK?

Regards,
