John's point is valid, Bibin, this is REALLY widely scoped and just doesn't
yield to a tidy answer. Nonetheless, here are a few tidbits for you to
chew on:

*S&P Agent*
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg27017150 (See the "S&P
Process Flow" section...current when I wrote it, now a little old, but
still very valid)

*WPA*
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg27017141 (If you parse it
closely there is a lot of knowledge and understand you can come away
with). Main thing to understand about the WPA is that it's just a
glorified conduit--a LISTENer process--that acts as both server and client:
"server" to the agents which connect to it to export their data and
"client" when it uses JDBC 2.0's stmt.add_batch() routine to send bundled
SQL INSERT statements over to the TDW, which acts as the server in that
communication stream.

*UNIVERSAL AGENT
*
Deprecated now in favor of AgentBuilder agents and the KLO agent. Most
think the KLO replaces the KUL agent but it more aptly supplants the File
Data Provider from the UM agent.

*YN & MQ Agents*
Waaaay too much to point to...just start with the Agent User Guides and the
links and references they contain and go from there. :-)
