Subject: Re: [TME10] Unix OS Agent and long process arguments SOLVED Thanks for passing along, Gus, definitely important to know. The gist is that it worked, was inadvertently broken, and will work again in 6.23 FP4. Barring an Interim Fix which includes the APAR (got a #?) we just need to wait until 11/13/13. Thanks again... Don’t go 6.2.3.2 IF2 without it if you run agents on Solaris. Relate to PMR 48620 130 846 if you wish. /Gus From: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> [mailto:[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>] On Behalf Of Svanberg, Gunnar Sent: den 11 juni 2013 14:27 To: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Subject: RE: [TME10] Unix OS Agent and long process arguments Hi. Yes I have. But the argument get truncated at the agent. IBM has confirmed this as a defect. I will update when a fix is avail. /Gus From: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Robert Barron Sent: den 10 juni 2013 20:45 To: Discussion list for Tivoli product and Tivoli Ready products. FYI. Seems like version 6.23.2.2 of the KUX agent is truncating process arguments at 80 chars on Solaris 10. I’ve had this before, but then it was due to Solaris 10 permissions. This time it happens on an agent that run as root. Worked fine on 6.22.4 but after upgrade arguments are truncated. Makes it hard to monitor java processes with long arguments. Working a PMR with IBM atm. If anyone can confirm I would be happy. /Gus _______________________________________________ TME10 mailing list [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Unsubscribe:[email protected]<mailto:Unsubscribe%[email protected]> _______________________________________________ TME10 mailing list [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Unsubscribe:[email protected]<mailto:Unsubscribe%[email protected]> -- "Sometimes I think that's the only right thing to do: To dream. to live in the world of dreams.
