For example in the IV20293 text you see PROBLEM CONCLUSION: The code comprising "tacmd createsit" and "tacmd bulkimportsit" was corrected to prevent the problem from occuring. The fix for this APAR is contained in the following maintenance packages: | fix pack | 6.2.3-TIV-ITM-FP0002 The original problem (that this APAR fix addresses) was contained in the following maintenance packages: | MDVREGR | 6.2.3-TIV-ITM-FP0001 =================================== That means that the MDV [Maintenance Delivery Vehicle] had a regression [broke something] and this APAR fixes it. We cannot do that ahead of time - for obvious reasons. If we knew there was a regression we would not ship it. >From the technote text someone was going through and making sure the APAR text was accurate.
