Giuseppe,

Hardened build is good... but (most of) the patch does it incorrectly (in our
opinion). NLS::TEXT is a wrapper to a gettext family function and should be
treated as such. There are also settings for gcc to treat it as such which
would prevent this warning. Are you still maintaining these patches in your
debian build? If so, perhaps we can revisit them ...
