As was discussed in bug #808, translation of the templates can be tedious and
we use gettext for other translations. We should thus consider having a master
set of templates that are translated using gettext.

We'll have to consider either having gettext translate the templates on-demand
or we have gettext create translated templates at compile time so that
distributed packages actually appear to be the same as presently.
